You can now connect Matomo to your Semji account and add up to 3 conversion goals!

Why connect your Matomo account

Semji not only helps you create and optimize your content, but also allows you to track your results and performance at a glance. The software retrieves extensive data from different tools such as Matomo and Search Console, to display the performance of the content you are working on.

If you don't have access to these statistical tools, you won't be able to track your KPIs (Key Primary Indicators) with in the platform. 

However, if you don't already use Matomo, don't worry! Semji is also compatible with Google Analytics ( Universal Analytics property, Google Analytics 4) and Piano Analytics, Adobe Analytics and Piwik Pro.

How to connect your Matomo account to Semji

If you have subscribed to the Matomo integration, you will need to follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Go to Semji and click on the arrow next to your Semji organization name to access your workspace details.

Step 2:

Click on the small Settings gear icon.

Step 3:

In the Workspace settings tabs, click on "Integrations".

Step 4:

This is where you can connect your web analytics tools. Click on the "Connect" button in Matomo.

Step 5:

There are two options for connecting your Matomo account to Semji: 

1. You can host the Matomo solution yourself:
   Simply enter your Matomo access URL and then your ID token (you can generate a new ID token in Matomo's security settings.
2. Cloud domain hosted by Matomo: 
   Provide the Matomo URL ( https://exemple.matomo.cloud), then enter your ID token (you can generate a new ID token in Matomo's security settings).

​​Click on next to connect your Matomo account.  

Step 6:

Your Matomo account is now connected, you can monitor your content's performance. 

A new button has appeared to the left of the "Connected" button: "Manage goals". 

This button allows you to control the conversion goals set in Matomo and to be sent to Semji.
